THE BURMADE WAY
STEP 02
Preparing the Sap
THITSI
The essence of Yun-de lies in the purity of its medium. We gently warm the natural lacquer sap (from Gluta/Melanorrhoea usitata) under halogen lamps to improve flow and carefully evaporate excess moisture.
Homogenization
The sap is meticulously homogenized for up to four hours. This slow, continuous blending ensures a highly uniform consistency, essential for the precise, fine layers that define our work.

Fine Filtration
Finally, the refined sap is filtered through a tightly woven fine cloth. This essential step removes any remaining natural impurities and stabilizes the viscosity, yielding a refined, stable medium ready for the artisan's hand.
